Nice one, Rob. Do MoD have to conduct an environmental impact assessment before commencing DU ammunition firing programmes? And do MoD have any plans to survey or clean up the area?

Fred Dawson

The Radioactive substances Act and Euratom Treaty do not apply military activies. So the MOD firing of DU is to a very large extent exempt from statutory control.

ok, why is no one going to a Scottish Court to get an injunction on the MOD? they are breaking international law. They are endangering the local population, as the DU spreads into the local sea life and fish. Etc etc....is everyone asleep in Scotland?
